At the Butcher's Continued...

So, I did not get to paint today. The first screen with line-work (above ) got messed up and I had to re-scoop it. This is different from what I've been doing in that I added a series of supporting details to reinforce the main illustration...I'm pretty excited to add color to this one, check back soon...

At the Butcher's

So this is one of the sketches from my new (butcher / American Worker) series. Paul (above) is a local butcher who was gracious enough to let me come into his shop on Thursday and bombard him with my presence and picture-taking. I'm trying something new (format-wise) this time, so check back in a week for the finished product.

Sally

This is a free-hand drawing of Sally the owner of Zyla Dance Studio in town. This is the first step of my process, next Sally will be turned into a silkscreen so I can begin my painting. This will be the 8th edition in the American Worker series.

My first...

Welcome, give me a second to catch my breath...this has been a crazy month as far as my work load is concerned (so I will probably not get as many posts up as I would like). I am currently doing my American Worker illustration series (continuing the project through 2009). I hope I can get in some collages and random work as well. The self-portrait (above) I found in an old sketchbook (can't help but laugh whenever I see it).
